Privacy Policy
Version 1.1 · Effective 23 August 2026 · Last updated 23 August 2026
This policy describes what this website, treels.io, does. It is deliberately short, because the website does very little with information about you. It is not a policy for the Treels product or for Thor Mine, which run elsewhere and have their own terms.
01Who is responsible for this website
treels.io is operated by Thor Network Inc., a Delaware corporation in the United States. For the purposes of data protection law, Thor Network Inc. is the controller of any personal data processed through this website.
You can write to us at Thor Network Inc., 444 Alaska Avenue, Suite #BPW964, Torrance, CA 90503, United States, or email partner@thornetwork.io for privacy requests and enquiries. Thor Network is also at thornetwork.io.
02What this website does not collect
This website has no accounts and no sign-in. It has no forms and asks you for no email address or other details. It runs no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no A/B testing tool. It does not build a profile of you.
Put plainly: nothing you type or do on this website is sent to us, because there is nothing on it to type into. The only data that exists about your visit is what your browser sends to any web server by default, described next.
A sign-up form exists in the website’s code but is not shown or active. It does not run, and no database or email-sending service processes visitor data on this website today. If that changes, this policy will change first.
03What the hosting provider processes automatically
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States. Like any web host, Vercel receives and logs standard request data when your browser loads a page: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and technical details your browser sends (such as its type and the page that referred you). These server logs exist to operate the service and to detect and prevent abuse. We do not add anything to them and we do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
Vercel keeps these logs for a limited period that Vercel determines; we do not extend it or copy the logs elsewhere. Vercel’s own privacy policy describes its handling of that data.
04What is stored on your device
This website sets no cookies of its own. It writes two small items to your browser’s storage, neither of which leaves your device or is sent to us:
treels:seenin session storage: remembers that the short opening animation has already played in this browser session, so it does not play again on every page. It is deleted when you close the tab.treels:soundin local storage: remembers whether you switched the optional ambient-sound control on. That control is not currently enabled on the site, so this item is not written today. If it is enabled, it stays until you clear your browser storage.
The Cookies and Local Storage page lists these in a table and explains how to clear them.
05The film, and YouTube
The film on the homepage is hosted on YouTube. Until you choose to play it, the website makes no request to YouTube or Google at all: what you see is a still image served by us. Two things happen only on your action:
- When you move your pointer over, or focus, the play control, your browser is told to open a connection in advance to
youtube-nocookie.comandi.ytimg.comso the film starts faster if you click. This is a connection only; no information about you or the page is sent with it. - When you click play, the player is loaded from
www.youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s embed that does not store cookies on this site unless you play. From that moment the player may load from other Google services (for examplegooglevideo.com,gstatic.com,ggpht.com,googleapis.com) and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to what YouTube does. Closing the player removes it from the page.
06Links to Telegram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn
The website links out to Thor Network’s presence on Telegram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn, and to thornetwork.io. Each of those services is governed by its own privacy policy once you arrive there. Following a link from this website sends nothing back to us, and those services do not report back to this website about you.
Joining Treels happens through Thor Mine on Telegram, not on this website. Anything you do there happens on Telegram, under Telegram’s privacy policy. Thor Network operates that channel and can see what any Telegram channel operator can see about its members; this website is not involved in that.
07Why we process anything at all
Where data protection law asks us to name a reason, the reason for the host’s server logs is our legitimate interest in operating the website and keeping it secure. The two storage items above are strictly necessary for the website to behave as described and are not used for anything else. We do not rely on your consent for anything on this website, because we do not collect anything that would need it.
08How long anything is kept
Host server logs: for a limited period determined by Vercel, after which they are deleted. We do not keep copies. Session storage: until you close the tab. Local storage: until you clear it. We hold nothing else.
09Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to a supervisory authority. You can exercise them with us through the contact details in section 01.
In practice, because this website collects nothing from you directly and we cannot identify a person from the host’s server logs, a request to us will usually confirm that we hold nothing we can match to you. Requests about Telegram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn or the Treels product itself need to go to those services or to the product’s own contact, as described in their policies.
10Where the processing happens
The website is hosted in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, the request data described above is processed in the United States by our host. Nothing else about your visit is transferred anywhere, because nothing else is collected.
11Children
This website is not directed at anyone under 13, or under 16 where local law sets that age. We do not knowingly collect information from children; and, as described above, we do not collect information from anyone through this website.
12Changes to this policy
If the website starts doing something this policy does not describe, we will update the policy before that happens and change the version and effective date at the top of this page. The current version is shown there; this version took effect on 23 August 2026.
